Tonight, Laura Poitras won an Academy Award for her documentary “Citizenfour”, an inside look at Edward Snowden, the National Security Agency whistleblower.

Today, the Academy nominated Laura Poitras feature documentary “Citizenfour” for the Oscar. It's her second Academy Award nomination, she was previously nominated 2006 for My country, my country.
MPSE NOMINATION FOR CITIZENFOUR
The Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE) has nominated “Citizenfour” for a Golden Reel Award 2015 for best sound in a documentary feature.
LAUF JUNGE LAUF
Based on the 2004 best-selling novel by Uri Orlev, “Run Boy Run” is the true story of nine year old Jurek who escaped in 1942 from the Warsaw ghetto into the woods where he must learn to survive on his own until the end of the war. However, coldness and loneliness keep driving him back to civilisation. In the villages, Jurek meets those who will help him and some who will betray him.
“Run boy run", is directed by Pepe Danquart.

“Rush”, is directed by Ron Howard.

the past, present and future, as one soul is shaped from a killer into a hero, and an act of kindness ripples across centuries to inspire a revolution.
“Cloud Atlas”, directed by Tom Tykwer, Lana and Andy Wachowski, takes place in german cinemas at 15th November.
WAS BLEIBT IN GERMAN CINEMAS NOW
During a weekend visit by the two adult sons, the outward calm of a middle-class family is thrown into turmoil when the mother, who suffers from clinical depression, announces her decision to go off her medication.
“Was bleibt” (engl. Home for the weekend) directed by Hans-Christian Schmid, takes place in german cinemas at 6th of September.
RUSSENDISKO
"Russendisko", directed by Oliver Ziegenbalg, is a modern fairy tale, a story of friendship, love, dreams and the search for happiness. The film is based on the mega selling novel by Wladimir Kaminer. To express the spirit and the multicultural life in the early 90er in Berlin, I made additional crowd sound-recordings with more than 15 people from 6 different nations. I decided to record the people outside an ADR studio to sound them more authentical and breath in a portion of natural life.
The external recordings were made in courtyards and for the internal recordings I had the opportunity to use an emty factory building with lots of different sized rooms, stairways and corridors.
PINA GETS A OSCAR NOMINATION
"Pina", the 3-D dance documentary directed by Wim Wenders, has received an Academy Award nomination for best documentary feature.
The movie was also Germany's official submission for foreign film but failed to earn a nomination in that category.

"Was bleibt" (engl. Home for the weekend) directed by Hans-Christian Schmid tells the story of a family that breaks to the load of pent-up family lies. The film will be premiered at the Berlinale 2012.

"Klitschko", directed by Sebastian Dehnhard, is a feature documentary, about the lives of the Ukrainian boxing brothers Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko.
The film will be released at June 2011.

NORTHFACE IS NOMINATED FOR THE GOLDEN REEL AWARD 2011
The MPSE has nominated the film "Northface" directed by Philip Stölzl for the best sound editing in a feature foreign language film. I did the dialogue editing work for this film in the year 2008.

The film tells the story about an english teacher in 19th century and his attempt, to give the pupils an understanding of the english language with help of the unknown sport soccer.
